St. John Indiana is located in Lake County, part of the St. John Township, Hanover Township, and Center Township. It was founded back in 1837 and is home to roughly 15,000 residents. It's been ranked among CNN's top 100 places to live in the United States and ranked #4 as the 'safest place in Indiana'. Located just 24 miles southeast of Chicago, St. John is comprised of smaller neighborhoods, quality schools, and quaint farmers markets. They have local specialty shops, larger retail stores, and plenty of urban areas, plus we're just minutes from downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan. We have private schools including Lake Central, Kolling, St. John the Evangelist, Crown Pointe Christian, and Iliana Christian as well as numerous public schools. It's three main public schools include Kolling elementary school, Clark middle school, and Lake Central High School. It's primarily served by the Lake Central School Corporation but also covers part of the Hanover Community School Corporation and the Crownpoint Community School Corporation.
